When buying a commercial dishwasher, glasswasher, and laundry washers you may or may not need to buy a water softener so that you don’t damage your equipment.

Naturally Soft 17-51 mg/l as calcium carbonate
Moderately Soft 52-120 mg/l as calcium carbonate
Moderately Hard 121-223 mg/l as calcium carbonate
Hard 224-291 mg/l as calcium carbonate
Aggressively Hard 295-359 mg/l as calcium carbonate
Very Hard

360+ mg/l as calcium carbonate
